Mila Yarich narrowly missed a 20-20 performance to lead the Bulldogs to a 3-1 win at Dartmouth and their 11th straight victory. The scores of the match were 23-25, 25-19, 25-20 and 25-17. Â
The victory marked Yale's fifth straight win to begin the Ivy season - with all five victories coming on the road. The Bulldogs are 13-1 overall. Â
Yarich led the Bulldogs with 18 kills and 20 digs, and
Audrey Leak was equally impressive with 17 kills.Â
Cara Shultz had 11 kills and
Gigi Barr had nine and hit .318 for the match.Â
Carly Diehl had a season-high 57 assists and added 11 digs. The Bulldogs held a 6-1 edge in service aces, and for the season have a 103-55 edge over opponents.Â
Tied at 15-15 in the third set, the Bulldogs scored three straight to take control of the set. Kills from Yarich, Leak and an ace from
Renee Shultz put the Bulldogs ahead. Â
After taking the third set,
Cara Shultz provided the separation in the fourth. With the Bulldogs ahead 16-14,
Cara Shultz delivered three straight kills on consecutive points. Â
The Bulldogs return home next weekend to host Penn and Princeton for their first home matches since Sept. 17. Â
