NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Michael Sun, Vignesh Gogineni and
Renaud Lefevre have made the most of playing on their home courts. All three have advanced to Sunday's flight finals at the Yale Invitational.
Sun advanced with relative ease, winning a pair of straight-set matches. Gogineni needed to work a little harder. He defeated Columbia's Sachin Palta 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 to reach the final.
Lefevre also advanced with a pair of straight-set victories. He topped Marist's Christian Mills in his second match to advance to the final.
Aidan Reilly fell one win shy of reaching his flight final. He beat Boston College's Mai Gao 6-3, 7-5.
In doubles, Lefevre and Sun teamed up to go 3-0.
The Invitational concludes on Sunday.
