Drexel Comes to Brady Center For First Match of 2022

The Elis look to continue progression

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — No. 4 ranked Yale is eager to welcome No. 7 Drexel to the Brady Center at 1 p.m. on Sunday after the Saturday match against Stanford was canceled. The Bulldogs are 2-0 on the season, having defeated No. 5 Virginia and Brown.

Yale last faced Drexel in December of 2019, a match the Elis won 6-3. Prior to that, the Bulldogs defeated the Dragons five times, winning 9-0 on four occasions and 8-1 the other.

Drexel boasts a 7-1 record, having lost only to No. 6 Columbia in a 5-4 decision.

With a good mix of veteran and first-year talent, the Bulldogs have become a force to be reckoned with in the opening months of the season. Under the leadership of  captain Aishwarya Bhattacharya, they hope to open 2022 with another win.

Yale's match against Drexel, with no fans in attendance, will air live on Stretch Internet.
