NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Noah Millard made his first HYP meet memorable. Millard, a first year from Melbourne Australia, captured the 500 freestyle at Kiphuth Pool, posting a winning time of 4:18.99.
Yale made a run at catching Princeton during Saturday's second session but fell 189.5-163.5. The Bulldogs also were beaten by Harvard 248.5-104.5.
Millard had a strong showing in the 100 freestyle as well, placing third in 44.14, and was a part of the 400 freestyle relay that finished second. Also on the relay team was
Philippe Marcoux, Marcus Hodgson and
Joseph Page.
Other notable performances for the Bulldogs came from
Jean Paul Ditto, who was second in the three-meter diving.
Jack O'Connor finished third in the 400 individual medley with a time of 3:54.24, Hodgson was third in the 100 butterfly (48.05) and
Alex Brehm was third in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:59.81.
