Bulldogs to Face New York Ivy Squads

Elis play at Cornell and Columbia this weekend

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The No. 4 Yale Women's Squash Team travels to New York this weekend where it faces No. 8 Cornell at 11:00 am on Saturday and No. 6 Columbia at noon on Sunday. Both matches will be streamed live on Stretch Internet.

The Elis are 14-0 against the Big Red over the past 10 seasons, having posted an 8-1 victory against them in their last matchup in January of 2020. Cornell (2-2) is off to a strong start to the season, however. They defeated No. 11 Stanford and nearly beat both No. 6 Columbia and No. 5 Virginia.

Yale is 10-1 against Columbia in the past 11 matches, but the Elis surrendered their most recent matchup in a January of 2020 by a score of 5-4. Columbia is 4-1 on the season, having defeated strong opponents such as No. 7 Drexel and No. 8 Cornell and lost to No. 9 Virginia.

The Bulldogs are 3-0 on the season, and most recently defeated No. 7 Drexel last Saturday at the Brady Center. Yale has shown depth, strength, and resilience in its first three contests and looks to add to its win column this weekend in New York.
