NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The No. 5 Bulldogs take their 4-0 record to New York this weekend, where they will face off against No. 7 Cornell on Saturday at 1:00 pm and No. 6 Columbia on Sunday at noon. The matches will be streamed live on Stretch Internet.
In the past 13 matches against the Big Red, the Elis have surrendered only one loss, which came all the way back in 2012. Since then, the Bulldogs have won nine straight against Cornell, having most recently defeated them 8-1 in January of 2020. Cornell is 2-1 on the season, having defeated No. 23 Bates and No. 6 Columbia, and having fallen to No. 8 Virginia.
Yale and Columbia have traded wins and losses over the past 13 contests, with the Bulldogs winning eight and the Lions five. In their last matchup in January of 2020, the Elis notched a 6-3 victory. Columbia is 6-1 on the season, its only loss coming against Cornell.
With a young team that has shown great strength and poise in the first quarter of the season, Yale hopes to secure two more promising victories this weekend in New York.
