NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 8 Yale Women's Ice Hockey Team, which has not had a game since Dec. 8 and has been delayed by the pandemic, begins 2022 by skating at Dartmouth on Friday at 6 p.m. and then No. 10 Harvard on Saturday at 4. All games airs live on ESPN+ and internationally on Stretch Internet.

LAST MEETINGS
Yale beat Dartmouth 8-3 at the Whale in the middle of November after winning 3-1 against Harvard.
Gianna Meloni stopped 20 of 21 shots in the win over the Crimson, while
Emma Seitz tallied two goals and three points against the Big Green.

BULLDOGS
Rebecca Vanstone (8-6-14) scored two goals and
Anna Bargman (4-5-9) had a goal and an assist as the Elis beat Boston University 3-2 at Ingalls Rink to register the 10
th victory of the year on Dec. 8. The Bulldogs, who are tied for fourth in the ECAC with Princeton and are sixth in the Pairwise Rankings, never trailed while outshooting the Terriers 31-19. The home team got 17 saves from
Pia Dukaric, who earned her fourth win in the net. Special teams have been critical for the Blue, which got one power-play goal that night and now ranks second in the nation with a .311 average. Yale's penalty kill may only be the 18
th best, but the Bulldogs lead Division I in shorthanded tallies with five.

Vita Poniatovkaia (5-4-9) each have two shorties. Meanwhile, everyone's production has been impacted by sophomore
Elle Hartje (6-18-24), who leads the nation in assists per game and ranks fourth in points. Â Then there is
Emma Seitz (9-8-17), who was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Month after notching nine goals and 15 points in November. The netminding duties have been shared by senior
Gianna Meloni (1.43, .942), who is seventh in Division I save percentage and eighth in goals against average, and first year Dukaric (1.71, .910), who is 15
th in GAA nationally.

BIG GREEN
Dartmouth (8-10-0, 2-9-0 ECAC) was on the road last weekend and got swept by Cornell (5-0) and Colgate (4-2). Rookie Maggie Emerson has been the primary Big Green netminder with a 7-8-0 record and a 2.99 goals against. Four skaters have a team-best 11 points, including Catherine Trevors and Sydney Herrington with five goals each.

CRIMSON
Harvard (9-5-0, 6-3-0 ECAC), which was on a four-game win streak, lost on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 against Minnesota-Duluth by scores of 5-2 and 4-3. Senior forward Becca Gilmore leads the Crimson with nine goals and 18 points, while senior Becky Dutton (4-2, 1.99) has most of the time in net among the three goalies.
