NEW HAVEN, Conn – Yale made the most of its final non-Ivy meet of the season. The Bulldogs got several strong performances in a 234-64 victory over Southern Connecticut.
"Today was a reflection of the excellent work we see every day in training," said Associate Head Coach
Kyle Schack. "This group is positive, encouraging and hard working. As a staff we're real proud of the work they've put in this semester in the classroom and the pool."
The diving was held at Kiphuth Pool, and Yale had the top five finishers off both the 1 and 3-meter boards.
Genevieve Thibodeau won the 1 meter, while
Laurel Jin was first in the 3 meter. In all, it was a strong diving performance for the Bulldogs. Thibodeau, Jin,
Maya Ennis and
Stephanie Shao all qualified for the NCAA Zone Championships which is the qualifier for the NCAA National Championships.
Swimming was held at Southern, and Yale had at least the top-two finishers in 11 events.
Alex Massey (200 back, 50 free) was the only multi-event winner. Eleven other Bulldogs also finished first -

Alessandra Baldari (100 back),
Isabella Paoletti (100 breast),
Claire Michalik (200 fly),
Alex Massey (50 free),

Raime Jones (100 fly) and
Ava Franks (200 IM).
Yale also won the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.
This was Yale's last meet until after final exams and the holidays. The Bulldogs are off until Jan. 7-8 when they face Penn and Dartmouth in Philadelphia.
"The past 14 weeks we were able to be together, in person, and we are grateful to everyone who helped make the fall semester at Yale a success," Schack said.
