NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The No. 4 Elis were nearly perfect in their win against Brown on Thursday at the Brady Center, notching nine sweeps as a team out of 10 total matches.
Making her debut in the top nine was senior
Ainsley Weber, who swiftly handled her opponent in three games at the No. 9 position. Also making her season debut was junior
Julia Zhukovets, who defeated her Brown opponent by a score of 11-5, 11-5, 11-4.
The first-year Elis have had an impressive start to the season. The four first-years who have played thus far have a combined record of 7-1 after the first two matches.

Lynn Leong, Brooks G. Ragen Director of Squash at Yale. "It is an excellent indication that our preseason training has prepared the team well for the challenges ahead. I am also pleased to see how cohesive and motivated both teams are during the first week of the competition. I believe our teams are talented and deep, but we must remain hungry and keep charging forward throughout the season."
Yale (2-0, 1-0 Ivy) will face their next test on Wednesday Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. when it competes against No. 12 Williams (0-0) at the Brady Center.
