NEW HAVEN, Conn.
- The Yale men's swimming team posted an impressive 186–114 win versus Ivy foe Cornell on Senior Day at Kiphuth Pool. The Bulldogs stretched their current winning streak to four while also moving to 3–1 in conference play.
Sophomore
Liam Bogart continued his tremendous season by taking first in the 1000-yard freestyle, finishing with a 9:33.10 time. First-year
Joseph Page was equally as dominant in his 200-yard freestyle event, winning with a time of 1:39.30.
Senior
Henry Gaissert has been having a superb senior year and his excellent form was on display today. He finished first in the 50-yard freestyle with a 20.37 time. Page was also again on top, winning the 100-yard freestyle event with a 44.61 time. Senior captain
Matt Slabe was victorious in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing with a 4:37.99 time.
First-year Conor Lee won his 100-yard butterfly event with a time of 48.98. To cap of the ideal day for Yale, the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Page, Gaissert, sophomore
Philippe Marcoux, and sophomore
Nathan Stern took first with a 2:59.38 total time.
Next up, Yale squares off in the annual HYP meet with Harvard and Princeton starting on Jan. 31.
