Game Notes for Yale
The Bulldogs, coming off a home sweep of North Country teams last weekend, are tied for fifth place with only conference games left on the schedule. Yale looks to climb further in the standings with road games at RPI and Union this Friday (6 pm) and Saturday (3 pm). Friday's game can be seen on RPI TV, while the game at Schnectady airs on ESPN+.
BULLDOGS
Six different skaters scored goals and
Gianna Meloni stopped 38 of 41 shots as Yale earned its first-ever sweep of Clarkson and SLU last week at the Whale. The Blue broke open a 2-2 game with the No. 5 Knights by scoring three straight. The next day,
Grace Lee's tally at 12:44 of the third was the winner in a 2-1 game with the Saints. The weekend's other Yale tallies came from
Elle Hartje,
Sophie Veronneau,
Rebecca Vanstone,
Charlotte Welch and
Claire Dalton. The top six goal scorers and point producers for the Bulldogs are either first or second-year players.
RPI
The Engineers have played 23 games, including a dozen in the conference, and are looking for their first win of the year. RPI earned a tie against the Bulldogs last year, but Yale won a close game in the other meeting and the Elis took a 3-0 decision earlier this season.
UNION
The Dutchmen earned a 1-1 OT tie against Cornell last weekend and are 0-1-2 in the last three. Union (2-16-5 overall, 2-6-3 ECAC), which fell to Yale 5-0 earlier this year, takes on Brown Friday night before the Elis come to Achilles Rink.
