PHILIDELPHIA, Pa.—The No. 6 Yale women's squash team opened their season with a dominant performance over No. 9 Drexel on Friday evening, playing to an 8-1 score.
This is a great first step in what the Bulldogs hope will be a record-breaking season.
Yale had a strong performance across the board with wins posted from not only the top three spots--held by sophomores Lucy Beecroft and Helen Teegan and junior Celine Yeap--but also from three of the team's seniors, Jocelyn Lehman, Selena Maity and Captain Jen Davis.
First-Years Riya Mital and Alexis Lazor also captured wins, their first ever as Yale Bulldogs.
Yale will recharge for their 12:00 p.m. match on Saturday, where they hope to earn another victory against Franklin & Marshall.
