NEW YORK — No. 4 Yale started its Ivy League campaign on a dominant note Saturday as the Bulldogs beat hosts No. 9 Columbia by a score of 9-0.
Yale (3-0, 1-0 Ivy) put together a comprehensive victory that included seven 3-0 wins, with their opponents grabbing one game in each of the other two matches. Columbia (3-3, 0-2 Ivy) was left still searching for its first league win of the season.
The Bulldogs will look to build on the positive result tomorrow as they face No. 6 Cornell with a chance to take two wins from their New York road trip. The match will start at noon.
