NEW YORK, NY. - The Yale men's tennis team (9-9, 1-2 Ivy) lost 4-3 to the Columbia Lions (7-12, 1-2 Ivy) on Saturday. The Bulldogs captured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2, but were just edged out by the Lions in the singles matches.
Despite wins from sophomores John Huang and Daniel Hoffman at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, the Bulldogs were unable to capture another singles point for the win. However, all the other matches were hard-fought, finishing in three sets.
The Bulldogs will play Cornell on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Ithaca.
