NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's fencing team, ranked No. 10 in the U.S. Fencing Coaches Association national poll, will test itself against three of the top four teams in the nation, including No. 1 ranked Notre Dame, on Sunday at the Philadelphia Invitational. In all, Yale will fence six bouts.

The Bulldogs kick off the day at 8:30 a.m. against the Irish, who have a 12-0 record and will compete at the St. John's Invitational on Saturday. Two years ago, Yale knocked off Notre Dame at the Philadelphia Invitational.

This year's schedule at the Invitational also includes bouts with No. 3 Ohio State (9:45 a.m.) and No. 4 Princeton (1 p.m.).

The Bulldogs currently have a 3-2 record, including victories over Brandeis and Incarnate Word, who are both receiving votes in the national poll.

Yale's trip to the Penn State Dual Series last weekend was canceled, so the Bulldogs haven't competed since the Brandeis Invitational on Dec. 5.

Next up is the Ivy League Round Robin on Feb. 12-13 at Brown.
